Christmas Eve Celebration

We always start our Christmas celebration on Christmas Eve at Mamaw & Papaw's house. Since it snowed & was actually cold, Papaw built a fire in the fireplace. The boys aren't used to seeing anything but ashes in that fireplace, so they were completely engrossed with the flames. I am so thankful we do not have a fireplace in our house. I fear to think what damage would be done if we did!

Maddie decided to warm herself by the fire with the boys. When those 3 crazy kids get together, you never know what you're going to see or hear. I really wanted a cute Christmas Eve picture by the fire, but this is the Christmas Eve picture I got. You gotta love em!

As usual, we played our fun Christmas game. The die was thrown, the present was passed, and when Cason opened the gift, he got the most appropriate gift . . . a candy-pooping cow. When you pulled the cow's head down, brown-colored candy came out of its rear-end. Cason thought it was hilarious!!!

Once the fun game was over, the kids got to open their "one" Christmas Eve gift. Jackson opened up an arcade baseball game, which kept him entertained for the rest of the evening.

The gift that Maddie opened was one that Mamaw & I knew she would love, and we couldn't wait for her to open it!
And we were right . . . she loved her new sewing machine! We had another wonderful Christmas Eve celebration with our family. We are so blessed to have such loving people to surround us during the most special time of year!
