Saturday O' Fun

Our Saturday o' fun started off snuggling and watching a movie. Well, attempting to watch a movie! Between Cason, Jackson, and Max playing switch-a-roo it was difficult to see the movie, but I loved the together time!

We spent the rest of the morning running errands, and counting down the time until the "Swim Party" at Debbie's house. The party didn't start until 4:00, so we counted down for a long time! But once 4:00 finally rolled around, we had 3 happy kiddos!

Debbie has rules for her pool that the kids must follow: no peeing in the pool, no running, no laying on the "adults only" floaties, no drowning on "whatever day of the week is," etc. However, she had one more rule for the party: if you wanted to swim, you had to sing karaoke. Cason was the first, of all the kids, to sing-surprise, surprise! He sang "Whatever It Is" by the Zac Brown Band. I videoed Cason singing, but for some reason I can't get it to upload. In the video it is hard to hear him sing, and really it was hard to hear him sing if you were there, but he looked really cute!

Madison wasn't that excited about singing, which really surprised me, but she finally did. Jackson was not going to have any part of singing karaoke! Debbie tried and tried to get him up there, but he was not going to sing!

She finally gave up and moved on to her next victim.

Corey was the only adult lucky enough to join the kids in the pool, and he didn't even have to sing karaoke. But he did get to play human catapult with the kids. He is just a big kid!

How 'Bout Them Bears

The Crenshaw Bears' awesome baseball season ended at the beginning of June . Jackson learned a lot, played a lot, and had a lot of fun with his fellow Bears.

Lucky for us, Lorena Little League hosted the 6-7 year old City Tournament this season. So, all of our tournament games were held in Lorena! We won our first game against a Robinson team, and then lost our next 2 games against Midway teams. The boys played like all-stars the first game, and then like the Bad News Bears the next two games.

To help get the boys get their game faces on, the moms on the team decorated the dugout for each game of the tournament.

After our last game, the boys had a Silly String fight to lighten the mood from losing. There was Silly String everywhere, but they loved it!

The Crenshaw Bears had a pool party to celebrate their outstanding season. The whole team was able to make the party, along with some siblings of the team. That pool was crowded, but not too crowded for Corey and Cason!

The Bears had great coaches, players, parents, which really made for a great season!!!

Summer Do's

We are only on our 2nd day of summer and the boys already have their summer do's!

Jackson asked for the mo-hawk first, and then convinced Cason to join him. I tried to get them to get a faux-hawk, but obviously it didn't work! While they were getting their new do's, I sat at the front of the salon trying not to have a heart attack. I had to keep telling myself "it's only hair-it'll grow back."
